´Maqur Erkir´ LLC was founded as a waste collecting company and is implementing waste collection
in the city of Vedi and its surrounding communities. ´Maqur Erkir´ LLC was founded in 2009. The
company has launched its operations since 2010. The primary activity of the company is the
implementation of waste disposition in 15 member communities of the Community Union.
Cooperation proposal
The company is planning to execute waste sorting production and generate heat and electricity out of
the organic part of the waste and factory is to be constructed for implementation of the project.
However the Company´s activities will not be limited with the production of electricity. To effectively
use the heat produced in the process of processing of the organic part of the waste, the Company is
planning to construct a green house to operate through the released thermal energy. The company
employs specialists who have the ´know how´ and are competent to purchase appropriate technology
and equipment which have not been used inArmenia
need of investments to build the factory, renew the existing equipment and obtain relevant new and
modern technologies that operate with high productivity. The project was designed for two main
stages 1. Constructing and operating the waste sorting factory by the end of the first year 2.
Constructing and operating the factory of processing the organic part of the waste into electricity and
thermal energy by the end of the second year, a. constructing and operating of the greenhouses
using the thermal energy produced as a result of processing of waste by the end of the second year.
Therefore according to the stages the Company is going to produce the following final products sorted out and bricked glass, metal, plastics, paper, other plastics (including polythylene) - when
sorting the waste these are the main non-organic items in composition of the solid municipal waste
which are released as final products.
Strategic plan: The company has developed a strategy for the coming 5 years. The developed
strategy intends on - building the factory, purchasing equipment, installing new equipment and
technologies, constructing greenhouses, exporting agricultural products. The implementation and
development of the feasibility study for electrical energy, production of agricultural products,
secondary raw material operation forecasts the sales volumes is presented. The projects intends to
ensure the smooth and ongoing operation of the above stated activities by engaging fixed and current
assets. Forecast of key financial indicators: the Company´s feasibility study is developed for the
upcoming five years. The key financial indicators include product sales volumes, product cost,
administrative and marketing expenses. The feasibility study designed for the company estimates a
total investment amount of $2.005.026 . The sources of financing of the project a) Grants issued by
international donor organizations, b) self funding. The required investment and cost directions are:
investment directions, fixed assets: $1.905.026, other current expenses: $100.000, Total: $2.005.026.
Innovative aspects and/or main advantages of the proposal
The demand of high quality agricultural products is rather high thus it is possible to quickly realize all
the production by applying competitive pricing policy which will be feasible taking into consideration
the fact that the expense on gas which is usually the highest cost of operating a greenhouse, will be
zero for the company since it will use the thermal energy produced in the process of waste
processing for heating greenhouse. The company has a significant advantage in the Armenian
market as there is no organization in Armenia using the same technologies for producing electricity
